Global Fluid Handling Pump Demand Increased By 6.5% In 2018
- Jan 05, 2019 -

According to the industrial market research company Freedonia Group, the global demand for fluid handling pumps will increase by 6.5% until 2018, amounting to $69 billion.

Although the market growth in developed regions, including the United States, Japan, Western Europe, Canada, and Australia, will not be as large as in developing countries, its market is still healthy and will remain at a historical level. Fixed investment costs, major energy consumption, and a gradual recovery in construction will boost pump sales in developed countries.

In its recent research, "World Water Pumps", the Freedonia Group said that in the year 2014-2018, 3/5 of the demand for fluid handling pumps came from the Asia-Pacific region. Demand in many Asian countries, including China, India and Malaysia, will be very large, with China's pump demand during this period accounting for 43% of global demand. China, the United States and South America will become another major market after the Asian/Middle East market and the Eastern European market.

In 2009-2018, processing and manufacturing became the fastest growing pump market. In addition, stricter environmental regulations will also promote the need for more efficient and better performance liquid handling pumps, such as unsealed centrifugal pumps. In addition, there is expected to be a large increase in the public market, as investment in the construction of water and energy transportation networks is rapidly recovering in many developing countries.
