Submersible pump common faults and troubleshooting methods


     Submersible pumps are important equipment for deep well water extraction. When used, the entire unit is submerged into the water. Extracting groundwater to the surface is domestic water, mine rescue, industrial cooling, farmland irrigation, seawater lifting, ship transfer, and fountain landscape. Submersible pumps are mainly used in municipal engineering, industry, hospitals, construction, hotels, restaurants and other industries. It is used to discharge silt, waste water and urban domestic sewage with solid and various long fibers. Common faults and troubleshooting methods for submersible pumps:

1. The pump can't start reason: the power supply voltage is too low; the circuit is disconnected somewhere; the pump impeller is stuck by foreign matter; the cable is broken; the cable line voltage drop is too large, the cable plug is damaged; one phase of the three-phase cable is unreachable; The chamber windings burn out. Remedy: Adjust the voltage to 342V~418V; find out the cause of power failure, and eliminate; remove the guides, remove debris; replace according to the cable specification table; use a thicker cable; replace the new plug, check the switch outlet and Cable line; overhaul the motor.

2. After the pump starts, there is no water, and there is little or intermittent water. The motor can't start; the pipeline is blocked; the pipeline is broken; the water filter is blocked; the water suction port is exposed to the water surface; the motor is reversed, the pump casing seal ring and the impeller are damaged; The lift exceeds the head rating of the submersible pump too much; the impeller reverses. Remedy: Troubleshoot the circuit; remove the blockage; repair or replace the pipe; remove the blockage; reinstall; replace the power line wiring position; replace the new parts; replace the high lift pump;

3, The motor can not start with the sound cause: one of the phases is broken; the bearing holds the shaft; there is foreign matter in the impeller and the pump body is stuck. Remedy: repair the line; repair or replace the bearing; remove foreign objects.

4. The pump water is suddenly interrupted, and the motor stops. Cause: The air switch trips or the fuse blows, the power supply is cut off; the stator winding burns out; the impeller is stuck; the wet submersible pump motor is short of water; the oil-filled wet submersible pump motor Lack of oil. Remedy: Check the line fault, motor winding fault, and eliminate; check the cause of power failure, eliminate the fault; repair the stator winding; eliminate debris; repair the motor.

5, The current is too large, the current meter pointer swing causes: the rotor sweeps the hall; the shaft and the bearing are relatively inflexible; because the thrust bearing wears seriously, the impeller and the seal ring are ground; the shaft is bent, the bearing is not concentric; the moving water level drops to the water inlet Below; impeller submerged depth is not enough, the air is induced to vibrate; the impeller compression nut is loose. Remedy: Replace the bearing; replace or repair the bearing; replace the thrust bearing or thrust plate; send the factory for repair; adjust the throttle, reduce the flow or change the well; the electric pump moves down; tighten the nut.

6. Vibratory vibration during operation of the unit: The rotor of the motor is unbalanced; the impeller of the pump is unbalanced; the shaft of the motor or pump is bent.
