Submersible pump maintenance and precautions

.When installing the submersible pump, the cable should be overhead and the power cord should not be too long. Do not force the cable when the unit is launched, so as not to cause the power line to break. Do not sink the submersible pump into the mud, otherwise it will cause poor heat dissipation of the motor and burn the motor windings.

.Second, you should pay attention to its model, flow and lift when purchasing a submersible pump. If the selected specifications are not appropriate, sufficient water output will not be obtained and the efficiency of the unit will not be utilized. In addition, you should also know the direction of rotation of the motor. Some types of submersible pumps can produce water when they are rotating forward and reverse. However, when the water is reversed, the water output is small and the current is large. The reverse rotation will damage the motor windings. In order to prevent electric shock caused by electric leakage when the submersible pump is working underwater, a leakage protection switch should be installed.

.Third, usually check the motor. If the lower cover is found to have cracks, the rubber seal ring is damaged or invalid, etc., it should be replaced or repaired in time to prevent water from seeping into the machine.

.Fourth, try to avoid starting at low voltage. The power supply voltage and the rated voltage are not different by 10%. If the voltage is too high, the motor will overheat and burn the winding. If the voltage is too low, the motor speed will drop. If the rated speed is less than 70%, the centrifugal switch will be closed, causing the starting winding to be long. The time is energized to heat up and even burn out the windings and capacitors. Do not switch the motor frequently. This is because the recirculation occurs when the pump is stopped. If it is turned on immediately, the motor load will start, causing the starting current to be too high and the winding to burn out.

.Do not let the submersible pump run for a long time. Do not pump water with a large amount of sand. The dehydration operation time of the electric pump should not be too long, so as not to overheat the motor and burn it. During the operation of the unit, the operator must observe whether the working voltage and current are within the values specified on the nameplate. If it does not meet the requirements, the motor should be stopped, find the cause and eliminate the fault.
